Juvederm® is a solution of hyaluronic acid in the form of a gel. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance (a complex sugar) that stabilizes the skin structure, attracts and binds water, and contributes to the elastic properties of the skin that allow it to remain tight.  Juvederm® Hyaluronic Acid injection into the skin has been approved by the FDA to replenish the skin’s natural support structures damaged by aging and are commonly used for filling in facial wrinkles and hollows and lip augmentation.

There are different types of hyaluronic acid fillers available in the market, which vary greatly in molecule size and persistence.  Our body gradually absorbs the injected hyaluronic acid and turns it into water molecules through metabolism. The effect may last from several months up to two years, depending on the specific formulation and treatment area — details are provided under each product below. 

Juvederm VOLBELLA

A finer, softer HA formulation designed for subtle, superficial correction.

Considered for

• Fine lines and medium-sized skin depressions, including tear trough (under-eye hollows)
• Lip enhancement, including correcting asymmetry or volume loss

Juvederm VOLUMA

A firmer HA formulation designed to restore volume and support facial structure.

Considered for

• Restoring volume loss in the mid-face and cheek area
• Chin augmentation to improve chin profile
• Temple hollowing

Juvederm VOLIFT

A mid-range HA formulation, balancing lift capacity with the ability to treat finer areas.

Considered for

• Moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, including nasolabial folds
• Facial contouring and volume restoration, as assessed by your doctor

SKINVIVE by Juvederm

Unlike the three formulations above, SKINVIVE is not a volumizing dermal filler — it is a skin quality treatment (skin booster), delivered as micro-droplet injections across the treatment area rather than targeted volume placement.

Considered for

• Improving skin hydration and smoothness
• General skin quality enhancement, rather than filling or volumizing
