Wegovy contains semaglutide, used alongside diet and exercise to support long-term weight management in adults and adolescents (12+) with obesity, or overweight with a related health condition. It is also approved to help reduce cardiovascular risk in adults with known heart disease and obesity or overweight.
Considered for:
- Adults with obesity, or overweight with a related condition (e.g. high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes)
- Adults with known heart disease and obesity or overweight, for cardiovascular risk reduction
- Adolescents aged 12 and above with obesity, meeting specific criteria
